Unique Adaptations
The adult female Potter Wasp builds the chamber and attaches a single egg to the inside wall, she then paralyzes several tiny caterpillars by stinging them, and stocks the chamber with them as food for developing larvae she then goes hunting for caterpillars or spiders, and stings it to paralyses it without killing it to avoid rotting in order to preserve the body so the offspring has fresh food. These chambers are usually attached to a twig or a wall. The chamber opening is sealed with a mud pellet, to seal out the rain, until the offspring cut out an exit hole from the inside, after that its on its own and doesn't receive care from its mother.
